THE COACHES

Steven Fawcett
Steven is head programmer of the Competition Programmes. His knowledge comes from experience in applying different methodologies in his athletes and his own training, which consequently lead him to be the first UK athlete to qualify to the CrossFit Games through the current Open/ Regionals/ Games format. Steven has been programming for athletes for over 5 years and understands the stages of performance and athlete must go through to make it to the top! Ste is a big believer that to reach your full potential you must periodise your programme to peak for competition!

Jonathan Bullough
Jon is head of individual programming. His sports science background enables him to work programmes around individuals needs and also prepare and peak them for competition despite any tough lifestyle issues or work commitments that the athlete may have. Jon has competed at a regional level for 4 years as an individual (2012) and as part of a team (CrossFit JST 2014 & 2015) as well as competing individually in a number of european competitions.

Jak Cornthwaite
Jak programmes for a range of different individual programming clients ranging from masters to teen athletes and people with major weakness or injuries. Jak has also competed individually at regionals (2016) and in CrossFit JST’s team (2014 & 2015). Jak applies a big attention to detail to make sure his clients are on track and at their peak performance in competition.

Phillip Thun Bisgaard

Ever since starting Crossfit I have had a profound interest in the body, which have led me down the path of studying exercise physiology. As a coach, I’m a big fan of mastering the basics, and digging down into the littlest of details in both simple and technical exercises. My coaching and training philosophy is training with intention, and I make a great deal out of explaining the hows and whys in the program to my athletes. I believe by creating an independent self conscious athlete it will not only help the person to develop tools of themself, but also to challenge and grow myself as a coach.

WHAT SOME OF OUR ATHLETES SAY ABOUT US

BEN MASSEY

I have been following JST Compete programming for a little under 6 months and it has made an incredible difference to my performance. I used to just do my own thing, picking workouts here and there from different sites and Instagram. I always thought it was all about increasing GPP (General Physical Preparedness). Whilst that is great, it doesn't actually carry over to competing at a high level in CrossFit or other fitness racing type competitions.

I am really excited about the next phase and cycle where we will focus on conditioning to peak for the CrossFit Games Open. The knowledge behind JST Compete, the support network they have created (via members FB group) combined with specific training days at JST makes it the best programme I have ever followed.

PHILIP THUN BISGAARD

JST compete programming truly works wonders! I started in the summer 2014 and have already made immense progress from the genius programming of Steven Fawcett! I really like how well balanced it is, and how you have an options of choosing plans that is directly targeted at specific competitions or general well being. I can highly recommend it for everyone. If you are a Newcomer, mediocre og high level athlete, JST will definitely have a program to help you towards your goals.

OAKLEY WOODHOUSE

Having been doing the JST Compete programme for the last year and a half I can honestly say the programme has managed to target and improve all aspects of my CrossFit training.

Ranging from increasing the numbers I can now lift, to improving technique and endurance on many gymnastic exercises, to lastly conditioning me to love the assault bike. Something I never would have thought possible.

This is a programme I'd highly recommend to anyone that is looking to start competing within CrossFit.
